I am having a problem with Sir Demon Brown, the guy that runs the Cormndogs.org site.

I mailed him a cassette of a Minutemen gig I taped in April 1985 and he has ignored my ongoing requests to mail it back to me.

I emailed him in August 2005 suggesting that, because of the other Minutemen gigs he provided at his site, that perhaps he would like to dub and upload my recording. It wasn't perfect by any means, but I wanted to share it with fellow Minutemen fans.

We emailed back and forth and in September 2005, he wrote: "i have a friend who does mastering - so maybe i can get him to tweak it."

I mailed off the tape and on October 20, 2005, he emailed: "got the tape! thank you so much. i'll be borrowing a good 3 head deck this weekend to transfer it to the computer. i'll keep ya posted."

On November 21, 2005, he emailed: "be back in the states in mid-dec. i'll mail it to you then. don't worry! your effort will not go in vain! "

That is the last time I heard from SDB.

I have sent periodic emails to him since then -- and they have all gone unanswered.

During the time he was ignoring my emails, he posted an update (June 2007) to the Corndogs site. So I know he's out there.

I trusted him to copy my tape and mail it back.

It is now TWO YEARS since he promised to return my cassette.

Is anyone here in contact with him? If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.

damn, that sucks. sorry to hear about that. i haven't heard from sir demon brown in years either so don't know where he's at or what his band is up to.

after i taped citizen fish and leftover crack this summer, i sent my dat to a taper in texas who got me into the gig. haven't heard from him since. though when i sent him my dat master from taping the subhumans a few years ago, it took him a year to send me back that tape.
