2003 show reviews:
(shows from before April still need to be added. If you saw Watt in 2003, tell us what you thought.)

April 15:  Parish at the House of Blues - New Orleans, LA
Mike Watt and the Secondmen
"the cord that spun its own top" tour

review 1:

"This song is about a war that was in my body" Watt said before he wrestled the first notes of what i think is called "Boiling Blazes." They played "Puke to High Heaven" and "Bursting Man" and from what i understand these 3 tunes make up the "Hell" part of Watt's illness peice. After that they played 2 more new tunes, the second with Watt and Pete singing a harmony "Pissbags and Tubing!" This was repeated several times with no other words. From this point on the set was almost identical to the last tour. They added "Walkin the Cow" which was nice. For the encore Watt decided to do some instrumentals - "Only You Will Know", "OM OM OM" and ended it with "Little Johnny Jewel." This show seemed clamless but what do i know?
